Ying Yang

A bleached, painted and scratched, photograph i produced, with Cape Town in mind. I have now returned from this study trip. Lots in mind, wanting to create. Dissertation is taking priority at the moment. My brain has come to a stand still. I need to focus. The draft is due in in 2 weeks, so far i am one paragraph down. Hurray. I will not let my mind sink into a negative space. I am prepared, i have 3 folders of research to spur me on. Once i start i know i will not stop. So why have i not started.

(and so i continue to blog) This i believe is the strongest of work i produced in preparation for Cape Town. It is the contrast of blue and orange. The large cool empty spaces, in contrast with the warm busy areas. Yin Yang.

Yin Yang. This way of life, this concept, this philosophy is one in which i keep in thought with my art, with the way in which i live my life. Opposite forces that are interconnected. Black and white. Light and Dark. Push and Pull. Hot and Cold. High and Low. Fire and Water. Life and Death.
